VIRIDIAN Playing Cards KS

VIRIDIAN
Beautifully crafted exquisite deck of playing cards. At an unbeatable price. Designed by Ade Suryana, Viridian
playing cards feature a custom vintage design, reimagined courts, a beautifully crafted tuck case and a stamp
bearing an intricate custom design. A deck that is as beautiful as it is functional, Viridian is the first in Trikard’s
new line of Signature playing cards - versatile for magic, card flourishing or even just a game of poker.

A modern twist inspired by the classics.
Viridian combines distinctive design with the peerless quality of Legends Playing Card Co. The beautiful
typography is based on vintage typeface and inspired from old Billheads and ephemera. The tuck is also
elegantly adorned with beautiful organic patterns which is especially striking. Viridian will be meticulously
printed by LPCC, well known for their innovation, attention to detail with exceptional durability, ultra-precise
printing registration and the ‘glass like’ edges of their signature ‘Diamond Cut’ process.

Entirely new, yet immediately familiar.
From the moment you take the Viridian cards out, you will be comfortable using them. The deck looks amazingly
fresh. But it’s visually reminiscent of what you’re used to seeing, and is designed around familiarity. The pips on
Viridian have been given an update with timeless custom suits and a bigger font for the lettering and numbers.

Meticulously designed from the ground up by hand.
The court cards are stunning and each card has a different face and a different arcane-styled outfit which looks
amazing with the theme color: green and deep red. This gives a good balance of having a beautiful design
while keeping the integrity of a standard deck of playing cards.

Beautifully crafted. Sure to draw compliments every time the cards are cut.
The Viridian features an intricate, mirror image floral design on the card backs inspired by traditional playing cards.
The attention to detail and craftsmanship, makes this deck truly unique and one of a kind.

Inspired by vintage design and refined by modern aesthetics.
The Ace of Spades features a beautiful intricate design that is bold and stylish. The abstract floral pattern adds
to the elegance and identity of Viridian.

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

Overall, I like the design but I have two questions.

1) What's with the court faces?  This looks like another deck's courts that I've seen before.

2) Why do the backgrounds of the cards appear different from card to card in some of the photos, like they're slightly different shades of white/ivory?

I'm not sure about the court faces, but these are just renderings for the KS project. That is probably why the color is off a little.

chas0039, they will be on KS 6/17/2015. I'm not sure what the price is going to be, but I've spoken with Anthony a little bit about the deck. The idea behind the deck is like a house deck. A users deck. Similar to what Paul Carpenter is doing with the Encarded Standards. Think of TriKard as a brand- like Bicycle, Encarded, Kings Wild, Legends.......

Hey everyone, Don does have a good eye ;)

The court faces are from Aquila, since this is going to be our "House" brand we wanted to use part of what we liked from our 1st project and make these our standard courts. Everything else has been tweaked. As for the color Don, you need to take renders with a grain of salt, they aren't actual cards, but I'm 99% sure the finished products white balance will be consistent. ;)

I apologize for the confusion in who's creating the deck, it's the same team behind the Aquila deck, we just sat down and made some long term choices so we had a name change and some behind the scenes adjustments, but it's still Kardify and Three of Clubs........Ivan, Ade and myself and TriKard is our new Brand/Company.

I think you've done well, Anthony & Co., in terms of capturing a pleasant blend of old and new.  I'm looking forward to this deck.

I know what you mean, but to me they're more Parisian in design.

Backed. I'm really looking forward to this deck funding and getting my hands on them. Absolutely love the shade of both colors. Fingers crossed that the stretch goal for the Carmine version is reached.

Hey all, thanks for all the kind words and support, we're almost at our goal. Currently sitting at 95%, please keep sharing the project with others and if you haven't taken a look at Viridian yet, take a peek and see if it appeals to you and pick up a deck or two. Let's see if we can spend the second half of the campaign chasing Carmine :)

9 days left to go with only 94% funded - c'mon people no more siting on the fence - if each backer spent $6 more we'd be there
