This topic is confuse because there are quite a few Streamline versions with different qualities ( stock , finish , cut ) and Don Boyer didn't mention in the first post which Streamline version he is talking about.

Look closer.

The ones I have are from Kentucky and are just fine, once you break them in.

If you want more specific, they're (c) 2009.  Which is why it was so surprising to see a budget deck in recent manufacture that's so well-made, especially considering how much of the 2009 and 2010 USPC print runs had a drop in quality while they were working out the kinks at the new plant.  I can pretty much guarantee any recently-printed Streamline deck will be out of Kentucky.  The issue with the Chinese Aviators came up while they were still in Cincinnati, and this is the first I'm hearing about Spanish Streamlines, but since they're all marked with the company's Ohio address, it's safe to say those deck were made no later than August 2009, and possibly much earlier.

ok i caved and got a few packs of streamlines today... and i must say that i enjoy the cards a lot. the quality of the cards are WAY up compared to the streamlines from a few years ago. these are definitely my new practice deck. however, i still prefer aviators when it comes to smooth finish decks, but for the price streamlines are top notch.
have you heard the word???

One interesting thing I noted about the Streamlines was the comparison to other decks.

They're insanely thicker than Aladdins, by about five or six cards.  Aladdins felt softer, but I think that the finish on my Aladdins was also wearing off.  The Streamlines remind me of smooth Aristocrat stock, while the Aviators remind me of smooth Bicycle stock.  I haven't compared Streamlines and Aviators directly yet, but I will, and I'll post my findings here.

The one dollar Streamlines at my local Wal-mart is one of my favorite decks.

Amen to that, bro!  :))  In a hobby as expensive as this one, catching a big break is always a good thing, and a one-dollar deck that can perform is a huge break!  I want to make it not just my regular deck at the hospital, but perhaps my regular overall deck.

WalMart has to be selling these things as a loss leader.  Kardwell sells them just a little under a buck a pack, but only if you buy at least a gross.

Speaking of my hospital gig, I'm raising funds for Streamline decks to give to the kids I perform for.
