Thank you so much everyone!

Gorgeous! I really love it.
Where exactly would you be having these shows?

The cards will be displayed in local cafés, bars, and restaurants in Raleigh, NC.
They'll be displayed May, June, July, and August, but I'm working on getting more bookings and trying to get attention from art galleries.

Those look awesome! Is the deck still going to be printed?

Yes, I still plan on getting the deck printed. Hopefully, the upcoming shows will bring more exposure for funding.

They do look awesome.  Now you're going to make me want to take a trip to visit my mom (near Winston-Salem) just to make a side trip to see your gallery shows!

This deck is so awesome that even if you were to print with USPCC with all the best quality, I think it would get funded by the AC alone! Can't wait for it!

The first show for the deck started this past Friday, and here are some photos from the setup and opening:

(this is a poster print, not an actual uncut sheet)

That artwork looks amazing, I'd be happy to hang any of those prints on my wall. Please get this deck printed, I'm sure you'll have no problem getting it funded.

Now that would be an uncut worth $250

I think no uncut should ever cost that much no matter what. I don't care how much effort went into designing a deck; if you can have the deck itself for a few dollars, there's no reason you should pay a design premium on the uncut for the same art.
That said, I do want a Curator uncut pretty badly. :P

Pardon my ignorance, but how much will it cost to produce a deck like the Curator with USPCC?

Does having a different face on every card add to the cost of development from USPCC side? (I am assuming that there will be additional cost on the printing plates development)

Just curious...

USPC charges a hefty premium for custom faces.  Unless you're going for a big print run, the cost per deck shoots up, meaning the designer either takes a smaller profit margin or sells the deck at a higher price.

A story on my playing cards was published in the local paper today!

Full article and photo gallery: http://www.newsobserver.com/2012/06/09/2122653/card.html

For anyone curious, the deck is getting closer to reality, and I'm excited to cut out the design I have in mind for the tuckbox!

Hi Everyone,

Over the last several months I've been quiet with updates, but it's time to announce that the Curator deck is going to be released by House of Playing Cards this Black Friday!

The run will be limited, and the price falls within the range of other HOPC decks. The tuck case is minimalistic and maintains the red, black, and white color scheme of the cards. More specific details and official deck photos will be posted this coming week, so please follow or subscribe to HOPC:

http://houseofplayingcards.com/

https://www.facebook.com/houseofplayingcards

I know Black Friday will have no shortage of deck releases, but I'm excited to present my deck and hopefully my art will find a good home in your hands :)

For anyone not familiar with my work, here's a video of the Curator deck and my website:

This deck looks absolutely fabulous. It's amazing the amount of creativity you put into this deck. I'll be sure to pick one up if I can. Say, are uncuts going to be available?
Now, when you say the price will range such as other HOPC decks, can you be more specific because all HOPC deck range from $5-$10

I know what you mean Don.
Emmanuel lives close to me, on the day I met him at one of his art showings he was talking with the guys from Blue Crown . He asked me not to mention anything back then.

By the way if any of you have a chance to see the actual cut out cards I suggest you do it, the 2 foot cut outs are really something to see and the dimension added by the layered paper is really neat.

Definitely will be picking up a few of these.

Oh that AoS looks very familiar!
I have seen someone using this as his/her icon (might be from UC forum..??)
I was going to ask the person where did he get this spades from, it LOOKS SO GOOD!

I like the AoS! Very nice!

At one point Emmanuel was using it for his own icon.  Then he changed to the AoS from the second deck he's working on, "Clipped Wings" (I got the honor of naming it!).  He change to his "e spade" more recently - while not as exciting, it does give him a more professional image and identity.  Branding and logos from a company standpoint are important, and up 'til that point, he was changing his "logo" with each deck he worked on.  Call the new "e spade" his version of the Nike swoosh or McDonald's golden arches.

Don, it took forever to come up with a logo, but it was well worth it! I had pages filled with my "EJ" initials, and it was by accident that I drew the tilted "J" next to one of my spade drawings. I saw the similarities and the "eJ" became a spade.
