I don't like to be combative, but I really hate to see people air their grievances publicly, it's neither professional nor appropriate. the similarities between he and your back design end at the eagle, the eagle, which is clearly more representative of the Russian seal, as you noted on your page, than the design on his back.
The circular layout is not even remotely unique to the ICONS deck, and is a standard with playing card back designs to use iconography in the circles, to the point that it has been humorously noted as an overused design style on on this forum before.

I'm irritated to the point of ranting that this is even an issue.

Yep, there was! Originally I wanted to make 3 decks! a "Premium Edition", "Gold Edition" and a stretch goal "Platinum Edition".

The "Premium Edition" was blue, had blue backs (to fit in with the even more traditional blue rider back), no foil, no interior printing, no metallic inks, but featured embossing.

I later decided "why not offer the best decks right away" and axed the blue "Premium Edition". If you dig back into my Design and Dev thread, you'll see it there.
