Ink Coverage and Handling

I keep reading about ink coverage affecting card handling, but nobody really goes into depth into how it affects it, or even whether it is positive or negative. Anyone have thoughts on the subject?

I remembered this being discussed in the forum, it must be an old thread but it is there.
For me I never really notice any major differences related to ink coverage, even if there is it will be really minor.
It will be the card stock and finish that determine the handling.

I was always of the opinion that ink doesn't affect the handling.

William Kalush, however, feels differently.  If there's anyone I know who would know, it's him.

It's not just level of coverage - it's type of ink as well.  Some inks, particularly if used in large amounts, will have what he says is a noteworthy negative impact on a card's slip and glide characteristics.
