No-revoke decks (decks with four different suit colors, to prevent misplays in games requiring a certain suit to be played at a certain time) aren't as popular these days - playing solitaire is a pain in the ass.  My personal preference in a no-revoke deck would be for using complementary colors - for example, dark purple for spades, dark blue for clubs, pink for hearts, orange for diamonds.

I like the design of the face cards, I think its a nice deck overall. I may consider backing, I'm not sure. I also don't want to miss out on a deck that I think I would really love.

Is that sarcasm? I thought asshole referred to this game: https://www.pagat.com/climbing/president.html

I was a bit confused when you said no-revoke makes asshole more difficult but suits don't matter, only rank does.

I guess you're right! I haven't played in a while so I forgot about that. Aside from the threes (reds are clear cards) it doesn't matter. My bad

My idea for a no-revoke deck is red-pink and black-grey. Different but not too different.

Those are good choices, but I've found that there's a chance sometimes of mentally grouping the light shades together (pink and gray) and the dark shades together (red and black).  I've done this with a similarly-colored deck once.  It's why the colors I chose are different but close in the color wheel and the black suits are dark while the red suits are light.
