Hey guys,
Here in canada we have cold dry winters, it is terrible for hands my hands get dry and cracked it is terrible for handling cards. and if i put on lotion it gets on the cards and wrecks them. Does anyone else have this problem if you do how do you fix it.
People say nothing's impossible, but I do nothing everyday.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

I used to live in Chicago so I know all about cold, dry winters. 2 options: You can either treat the issue or deal with it on more of a case-by-case basis. If you wanna treat the condition then you should get a thick, butter-textured lotion in a tub. Those are extremely moisturizing, but you would need to do that as more of a nightly thing. Or if you want to do it on a case-by-case basis more for a quick fix, then you need to get a lotion that absorbs quickly and doesn't contain any alcohol or petroleum-based products because those don't treat the skin, they either dry it out more or protect it from more damage but don't add any actual moisture.

Hope that helped. :)

I reviewed the lotion that Dan and Dave are selling.  It's perfect for your dilemma.  Absorbs quickly, organic ingredients, doesn't leave a greasy residue.  Check some of the older topics for it.  (Or just buy the stuff!)

I used this type of cream that my dad said was called ''working hands''. Put it on at night before going to sleep and in the morning you'll notice a difference

That uses paraffin.  How's that as far as residual touch?  The D&D Lotion is good not only because it moisturizes with natural ingredients and no preservative chemicals, but it absorbs quickly AND leaves no residue on the hands that can get transferred to the objects you touch, like playing cards.

I had doubts about the D&D lotion but since you seem to like it so much I might actually try it.
And yeah, Canadian winters... They're harsh on my scalp, too. I usually have to switch to a medical shampoo for winter. ::)
Grin like a Cheshire cat, and remember: we're all mad here.

What about the reverse side of things? My hands tend to be oily. Any good ideas? I feel lotion would not help.
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

Try a powder - maybe some Gold Bond or some corn starch.  Baby powder might do good for you as well.

It's too damn expensive for the "application" you're thinking of...  Plus it has coffee oil in it - you REALLY wanna put that there?

Hey, I've only got one pair of hands, I can't do that and drink coffee at the same time. It's like a two-in-one kinda deal.  8)
