Oh well, other than eBay, if anyone can ever point me to any place (which will deliver to the UK) where I can get another brick of Turner Bees, then they can have a Madison Rounders Private Reserve deck on me -- worldwide shipping will be covered by me also!!

Have you posted an [ISO] on the STISO board?

I've heard legends told about these decks.  Never actually even saw a box until now.

The Turner Bikes have the same, exact sticker on them.

As usual, you're right Don.

The Turner Bee decks are actually quite easy to identify -- they have the circular black and gold "traditionally cut for the professional" sticker, and they have a red seal.

The cards themselves have standard Bee faces, along with 1 joker featuring the same image of Richard Turner that was used for his 'Gamblers' deck, a blank face card, and two ad cards for Richard Turner's DVD series.

As far as I'm aware, they were only ever printed in red, because Richard Turner preferred using red cards.

I got my first deck of RT Bee's in 2012, and I ended up looking for more ever since. The cards are slightly thinner than normal Bee decks (they're also thinner than Turner's gold standard Bikes), but snappier. For interlace shuffles and tabled faro shuffles, these are the best cards I've ever used.

Nice find! I've heard of Turners Gold Standard Bee Decks but Like Don, this is the first time I've actually seen them. I own a few of his Gold Standard Bicycle Decks in Red and Blue. Those can still be found at a good price.

I have a question regarding your Bees. Knowing how easy it is to buy counterfeit Bee Decks and Bicycle Decks or even counterfeit stickers for that matter, is the Gold Circle Sticker Inside the cellophane or Outside? The Turner Bicycle decks I have the Sticker is on the inside of the cellophane and its Shinny Foiled Gold, not smudged print gold looking ink. Since the Bee deck's I believe were released before the Bicycle deck's it is possible the Circle Sticker was upgraded to Foil or a better printer?  The card stock you mention is questionable. I have no doubt, the Bicycle's I have are Bee Stock. Also, Turner made a point of using 2 identical Jokers for his Bicycle decks. So, I find it strange only 1 joker is found in the Bee's. I clicked on your image to get max magnification. I have some doubts.

THEN AGAIN, WHO THE HELL WOULD WASTE THEIR TIME COUNTERFEITING THESE? NO ONE!

The attached image is without the cellophane. The sticker is as placed when manufactured on the paper tuck (under the cellophane).

Hey man!

The circular gold sticker on the Turner Bees is exactly the same as the one we find on Turner Bikes -- a shiny foil sticker. It is however, placed on top the cellophane, and not underneath like with the Bikes.

All Turner Bees appear to be like this, because I did pick up a few in 2012, and even with those, the sticker was placed on top of the cellophane.

If our friends in China were to attempt to produce counterfeits, then yeah, they'd probably not have too many problems replicating the look -- just a red Ohio Bee box, a red USPCC seal, and the foil sticker on the outside. The add cards and the joker wouldn't be too card to copy either... it'd just be the feel of the cards that they'd fail on.

Regarding the stock, I read about it on another forum a few years ago (themagiccafe, I think), and it was there that I read that the cards were stiffer/snappier due to them being Bee Casino stock which was compressed to a thickness of Mr Turner's choosing. I think Jason England posted to that particular thread also.

I can confirm that the cards are both thinner and have more snap than regular Bees -- hence why they're easily my favourite. They Turner Bees are actually even thinner than the Turner Bikes (which as you've rightly pointed out, are constructed from Bee stock).

With this signature I'm following the example set by Fes: There is only ONE letter L in my display name. "Holly" is a female name... and I'm a bearded guy who's into weightlifting. There's nothing feminine about me brother!

Just received my limited edition triplicates! :D Whole bunch of other stuff came in this week, they've already made their way past the counter though haha. I'll try to pop some photos of those to show soon. Mostly restocking my poker supply stuff. Still very cool and smile worthy cause they make me happy. :)

Part of my Collection updated infrequently but occasionally, when I remember. (I haven't in months.)

That packaging really rocks!

Here's a few of my recent acquisitions.  The one that isn't Gator Backs ALSO isn't USPC!  But you know that already.

Did you buy the inverted decks, or is that a magic trick?  ;)

Some of my new decks and some restocks. Just grabbed some singles out of what I've received this month and took a couple photos real quick. I left out brick box for Boardwalk Papers and Gatorbacks entirely.

The Peafowls, HMNIM, Boardwalk Papers, LUXX, Zenith and Stained glass are new acquisitions. The rest I just needed some more of. I was out of Red Monarchs and Brazil 2014's.

Owls eyes and Legends EE's are new acquisitions, the rest I needed some more of. I was out of silver monarchs, and blue exquisites. Very low on Crown Decks, my favorite is all of them haha. :)

Hi.  I'm new here and a relative novice to this corner of collecting although I'm a veteran collector of other things. Thought I'd show some of the decks I have I like. Apologies if they're common to you.

A relatively modern Cartier pair of decks

My only older Dougherty deck (I prefer no indicies)

A vintage set of Hermes Cassandre cards

A more modern set of Hermes cards

An old Great Mogul Deck (I know they're relatively common but as I said, I prefer no indicies!)

And of course my favorites, a pair of Tiffany Harlequin decks. Although to be perfectly honest, the green deck is missing a couple of cards (Does anybody deal in/trade loose cards?)

Hello, Collectingfool!

You should post some of those older decks in A Cellar of Fine Vintages - our home for vintage and antique cards.  As far as finding singles, I know there's a healthy trade on eBay for them, though perhaps not for older decks such as these.  There's a club in Chicago that's friendly with 52 Plus Joker and I understand much of their membership deals in singles.

Your best shot might be to simply buy another incomplete deck of the same kind, one that's missing only cards you already possess.

If you're already a member of the 52 Plus Joker Club, let Tom Dawson know.  He'll give you the club rank which will grant you access to the private members-only board.  If you aren't a member, heck - you should be!  The membership is inexpensive and the club's quarterly journal, Clear the Decks, is more than worth the price of admission.

Outstanding decks collectingfool.  :)

Here's some photos of some things that arrived just today. Couple bricks of Ornates and an unbranded Double Black. For some reason I thought I had pledged for more than just one double black, but I checked and I didn't haha. Ah well, must have been a grab an EB and go moment. I'll pick some more up soon. I love the unbranded Double Black tuck. :)

That's the freebie acrylic chip thing next to the tuck, really nicely done. Best freebie acrylic chip thing I've ever gotten.

One of my more exciting New-Acq posts.
Not everything I have gotten since my last update on here a while back, but some of the decks I am a little more excited about adding to my collection.
Kickstarter completely revolutionized the way I waste money.

Thanks! I'm really excited about them, it's several months of acquisitions.
I got the Nuggets from Leeasher.net's annual mouse-clicking-lightning-trials 2014 sale.

Nice!  Did you get the Favole Tarot deck?  When I heard about it on their website, I've had a hankering to see one ever since.  I have the USPC Bicycle Favole poker deck, but the tarot, one would imagine, has more of the same lovely art!

I haven't got the Favole Tarot deck. To be honest, i'm more interested in regular playing cards rather than Tarot although, as you say, the artwork is fabulous on the Favole Tarot deck from the pictures I have seen. I have noticed that Fournier do a few other Tarot sets that link to playing card sets made by USPC such as Alchemy and Anne Stokes.

Looked at your photo again, realized you don't have the 605s yet!  It's Lee Asher's signature deck.  Based on the 505s but made in green and brown and with a very high level of precision and workmanship.  You can actually clean the cards by brief submersion in water!  There's not another paper deck anywhere I've seen capable of that.

Welcome Rookiecfrdnut, nice collection! Do you collect only Bicycle branded decks?

You may want to head over to the Introduce Yourself forum as well and tell us a bit more about yourself. Welcome aboard!

Back to New Acquisitions, lol......Voltige, I really like the cards, the soft tuck is really nice, but it does pick up fingerprints and smudges easily. The cards handle really well also.
Forgive the watermarks, but some people have been taking liberties with my images.

Thanks Anthony.  I'm basicly going to collect anything that catches my eye.  I started with Bikes because its the brand I recognized but after checking out some sites there are definitely some other brands that are a must add for my collection.
