My Club 808 prototype foil decks came last week (green, silver, red, blue).

I mainly sold off decks this month (basically, all modern USPCC stuff)... but I did pick up around 24 decks.

I got this split brick of LUXX V2s from JP Playing Cards. These decks are incredible. The tucks and the holographic deck seals are quite spectacular, and in my opinion, the cards themselves are the best handling diamond finish cards‎ to date.

The brick box has been done brilliantly -- nice, thick black card, and the inside of the box is laminated just like the inside of the LUXX V2 tucks. ‎The silver foil stamping is really nice.

I highly recommend the LUXX V2 decks -- no photos can do the deck justice. They really are AWESOME.

Some more receivings over at the HolyJJ residence here in merry ol' England, and as usual, it's another USPCC-free week.

White NOC... about as minimalist as a back design can get. Any more minamalist, and it'd have to be a blank back:

Some more Sharps‎. I've made no secret about it, the Sharps are BY FAR the best fully marked deck in existance. Can't get enough of these:

And a special thanks to a good friend for sending me these two beauties... Thanks a lot brother! :D

Im a little late to the game but here is my meager collection.  You can tell that I mostly dabble in KS decks but I have picked up a few goodies outside of KS.

Most of the action in decent collectible decks these days is on Kickstarter, anyway!  Not a bad start to your collection, really.

The more important thing is that you're enjoying the collecting!

A big thanks to DM for these :D

DM reiterated that he now has very Private Reserve‎ Rounders left. I guess in the next few months, if anybody wants any PR Rounders, it'll cost them a mini fortune on eBay!

My now favorite bit of playing card related stuff. Had these for quite a while but waited till I moved house to frame them. The wallpaper is not my choice by the way! It was the old folks who had the house before me. I just haven't re-decorated that room yet!  ;)

Are they from a deck - and if so, which?

Re the wallpaper, it could be so much worse, really - I'd take that over some of the wackier choices I've seen in my day...

Calaveras by Chris Ovdiyenko. They're prints from the original woodcut plates used to create the deck. Both prints are numbered '2' aswell - presuming Chris kept the number 1's in each set makes these pretty special  :D

The latest additions to the HolyJJ stash.

Some of the Wynn decks I've tried in the past (red and blue versions)‎ handled quite horribly -- although the cards themselves didn't feel bad when doing normal (ie. Legit) shuffles, things like push-through shuffles and fans were terrible. They must have some sort of special "super clump" coating or something.

No idea what the "BACC UV" on the side of the box is supposed to mean. I have no problems understanding the meanings of "RED" and "WYNN NV"‎ though. Lol

"BACC" probably refers to the game the deck was set aside for - baccarat or one of its variants.
"UV" - some casinos employ UV inks that can be read by the security cameras, in order to let them monitor for cheating.  Perhaps that's what it refers to?  I don't know if Wynn is one of those casinos.

Turns out that you're right Don!

I just put cards from both a red and a blue/purple Wynn deck under UV light, and on the faces there is the code number from the Ace of Spades along one of the short edges for each card.

Baccarat sounds like a reasonable explanation also for BACC... because I honestly cannot think of anything else it could stand for.

Thanks! :D

That code number permits them to know with certainty that all the cards of a given deck are indeed from the same deck.  Any mismatches in the numbers and you know someone's been messing with the cards, substituting in new cards from elsewhere.  I've also heard of more sophisticated systems for blackjack where there is a machine that reads the UV codes on the cards to tell the dealer if he's holding a blackjack without the need to those "TechArt" faces.  I'm not a fan of TechArt; it's unattractive and is only of any real use at a blackjack table in a casino rather than at a poker table in my home.  However, I think the casinos were a little leery of the idea and were concerned about customers thinking they were playing with marked decks.

This is a gorgeous collection, There are many decks here I could love to take off your hands for, you know, just to help out. Have you been collecting for a while?
Kickstarter completely revolutionized the way I waste money.

The people who handle playing cards are always in a world of delicate fingertip technology.

Hey Justin,

Thanks a lot dude. I've been collecting for a couple of years now. But I'd say my addiction has massively increased in the last 6 months where my collection has probably tripled (much to my girlfriends annoyance). I'm always looking for new display ideas etc aswell.

Nice collection  :D ! You've put some money into it.... but i think it's worth it.
@Rob Wright: you made my day with you No 17 brick. Do you know if No 17 decks gonna be sold on specialised playing cards e-shops? Like Jpp.... or is a kickstarter limited release? I could'n back it, but i'm hopping to buy them from resselers.
