When DB opened the window for his Metallic Green Gatorback deck, I kind of went over the top. Just a little, mind you. Hahaha 😂 😂 😂 I now have 10 bricks left.

I was also lucky with the Red Metallic Gatorback deck, as well.

Holy mackinaw. No wonder his shop is down. The walls just fell over.

I actually named the picture after a famous Floyd tune, "...Another brick in the wall...".

I'm rather friendly with Mark Stutzman, mostly by email correspondence, and he said to me, "...Oh, you're the one...".

Made me chuckle.....

Just a tad!!!

Seriously though, they are such beautiful decks to play/practice with.

One thing you can be absolutely certain of, when DB releases a deck, it's going to be as near perfect, as you can possibly get, at the time he releases it, naturally, IMHO.

Although, I still maintain, my favourite deck of his to handle, is the White Lions Black Label. There's just something about that deck (that handles like a dream) and tuck that oozes class, once again, IMHO.

I also have a 'couple' of WL Series B bricks of each colour. Just a 'couple' of bricks, mind you. I'll leave that to your imagination 😜😎♠️

You missed the KickStarter for this?   >:(
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1894542039/arcana-playing-cards/

They may show up on the artist's website (http://deadonpaper.com/collections/playing-cards) later, otherwise possibly a few retailers and ebay may have, but I expect they will be at a premium.

For me, kickstarter is at a "premium", because shipping to EU from US is most of the time pretty expensive. So, i preffer to buy them from online EU resselers (like jpp, spiele, cartes)  ::) and they combine shipping. I know, it's not very nice not to support the creator, but....that's the situation.

yeah you'll have to get them on the website after he's done fulfillment.  4200 decks of each color were pledged for making 8400 total.  But he said he had ordered almost 13,000 of them so I'm guessing about 4000 will be available after fulfillment.  That is a GUESS though :)

Only decks that are truly (IMHO) worth it. And they are few and far between...

Keep your eyes open.  More and more projects are starting to offer fulfillment from more than one country, giving you the chance that you might be able to get your decks for less AND support the project.  Remember, without the support, the deck you like and are waiting for at retail may never come into existence...and with the right amount of support, it could become completely sold out before it ever reaches retailers.

Midnight Calaveras. Really loving the tuck. Registration on the card backs is disappointing, though. Horizontal registration is not perfect but acceptable. Vertical registration sucks.

Pardon the crappy phone pics.

Been months since I posted anything here, even though I always have decks arriving. Figured I would post a couple of my recent acquisition decks since I have a few hours of free time today.

Pardon the crap lighting on the 52+J 2015 decks, I was trying to get the cool shimmer to show which I did, but the plastic turned blue haha! It was from the two LED handheld lights I was maneuvering in one hand like a putz.  :P

Part of my Collection updated infrequently but occasionally, when I remember. (I haven't in months.)

Here is my last order that I have just received in France. I really love all these decks but each of them for a specific reason. I particularly appreciate the "Kingdoms of a New Word" which reminds me "Magic: The Gathering" and one of my other passion: the heroic-fantasy, with artists such as Gerald Brom, Luis Royo, Paul Bonner or Aleksi Briclot.

The Voltige decks makes me think of the Steampunk artwork by Didier Graffet and the indices and design of the Gamesters are simply fabulous!

In short, I think it's one of the best purchases I've made!

My family and I have been cleaning up my Aunt's house and we found a box of cards in an end table. Nothing really spectacular, just thought I'd share what was found. I'm not sure what year any of these were printed but i'm happy to add them to my collection.

Included are:

A Bicycle 808. The AoS has T 1610 printed on it and it's in very good condition. Has all 52 and tuck, but no jokers or seal on tuck.

A Maverick deck. It has 52 cards, no jokers, and no tuck. They are in fair conditon.

A deck called Gypsy Witch. It is in almost new condition. Complete deck with 2 instruction booklets. It was printed by the USPCC.

A Steamboat 999 deck. It is in really good condition and is a complete deck but there's no tuck.

Good advice - buy what you like.
Better advice - buy what you'll use.
Best advice - buy what you can afford.

Dumb advice - BUY EVERYTHING!!!  You'll end up broke and with no room to move in your home because it's too cluttered with junk cards you don't even like.

They're not that old - perhaps a year or two.

Spiffy box!
